Waste Tip in East London with Titan

Waste Tipping in East London

If you're generating waste on a job and don't need a skip, tipping directly at a licensed facility is often the faster and cheaper option. Load up your van or tipper, drive in, dump your waste, and get back to work. No waiting around for deliveries or collections, no permits, and no skip sitting on the road for days.

Titan Waste Solutions operates a licensed waste transfer station in Barking, East London, where tradespeople, builders, and contractors can tip waste materials six days a week. Our yard has easy vehicle access with no tight turns or awkward manoeuvres, so you can get in and out quickly even with a fully loaded tipper.

What Waste Materials Do We Accept?

We accept three main categories of waste at our East London tipping facility. Keeping waste streams separated helps us process materials efficiently and keeps your costs down.

Mixed Construction and Demolition Waste

This covers the general waste that comes off most building sites. Bricks, concrete, rubble, tiles, ceramics, broken fixtures, packaging, and other materials from strip-outs, renovations, and demolition work. If it's come off a construction site and it's not hazardous, we can take it. Mixed loads are fine; you don't need to separate everything before you arrive.

Wood and Timber Waste

All types of wood and timber waste are accepted. Old joists, floorboards, stud wall timber, broken pallets, fence panels, skirting boards, door frames, and offcuts from carpentry work. Whether it's treated or untreated timber, we'll take it. Wood waste is processed separately from general construction waste, which means it can be recycled more effectively.

Plasterboard

Clean plasterboard is accepted as a separate waste stream. This is important because plasterboard cannot legally be mixed with general waste in landfill. It contains gypsum, which produces hydrogen sulphide gas when buried alongside biodegradable materials. That means it has to be disposed of separately, and a lot of tradespeople don't realise this until they get caught out. By tipping plasterboard at our facility, you know it's being handled properly and in line with current regulations.

Why Tip Instead of Hiring a Skip?

Skip hire is the right solution for a lot of jobs, and we do plenty of it. But tipping at our yard makes more sense in several common situations.

If you're working on a smaller job that doesn't justify a full skip, driving your waste over to us is more cost effective. You're only paying for what you tip, not for the hire and delivery of a container you might not fill.

If you're on a job with restricted access or no room for a skip on site, tipping is the practical alternative. Some streets in East London are tight, and getting a skip dropped and collected can be more hassle than it's worth.

If you need waste gone immediately, tipping wins on speed. Instead of booking a skip delivery and waiting for collection, you bring it to us and it's dealt with there and then.

For time-sensitive jobs where the site needs clearing before the next trade arrives, that immediacy matters.

If you're already driving past Barking on your way to or from a job, dropping waste with us on the route saves you a separate trip and keeps costs down.

Competitive Rates and No Surprises

We keep our tipping rates competitive because we want to see tradespeople coming back regularly, not going once and looking elsewhere. You'll get a clear price based on the material type and quantity you're tipping. No hidden fees, no surcharges for mixed loads, and no minimum spend. Give us a call on 0208 432 2225 and we'll quote you over the phone so you know exactly what you're paying before you set off.

How Our Facility Works

Our waste transfer station is located at Shed A, Box Lane, Barking, IG11 0SQ. The yard is set up for commercial vehicles with a straightforward layout. Drive in, tip your load into the designated bay, and head out. The whole process usually takes minutes, not hours.

We're open Monday to Friday 06:30 to 17:00 and Saturdays 06:30 to 14:00, which means you can tip before you start a job or at the end of the day without eating into your working hours. Early starts are part of the building trade, and our opening times reflect that.

Titan Waste Solutions holds a valid Waste Carriers Licence and our facility is monitored by the UK Environment Agency. All waste tipped at our yard is sorted, segregated, and processed for recycling. We currently recycle 98% of the waste we handle, diverting it from landfill and turning materials like concrete and brick into reusable aggregates.

Where Do Our Customers Come From?

Most of the tradespeople who tip with us are working on jobs across East London and the surrounding areas. We regularly see builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, and demolition contractors driving in from Barking, Dagenham, Ilford, Stratford, Canning Town, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Waltham Forest, Romford, Rainham, Hornchurch, and Upminster. Our location just off the A13 makes us easy to reach from most parts of East London and into Essex without going out of your way.

Responsible Waste Management

Fly-tipping is still a major problem across East London. Using a licensed facility like ours means your waste is processed legally, with a full paper trail. If you're a contractor working for a main contractor or a local authority, being able to demonstrate compliant waste disposal protects your business and your reputation. We can provide waste transfer notes for every load tipped at our yard.

Every material we accept is handled with recycling as the priority. Mixed construction waste is sorted and separated. Wood is processed for biomass or recycled. Plasterboard is sent to specialist recycling facilities where the gypsum is recovered and reused. The result is that almost nothing we take in ends up in landfill.

Frequently Asked Questions

What waste can I tip at your East London facility?

We accept mixed construction and demolition waste, all types of wood and timber, and clean plasterboard. If you have a material you're not sure about, call us on 0208 432 2225 and we'll let you know before you make the trip.

Do I need to separate my waste before I arrive?

It helps if you can keep plasterboard and wood separate from mixed waste, but we can handle mixed loads. Separating materials where possible keeps your tipping costs lower because single-stream waste is cheaper to process than fully mixed loads.

Can I tip waste in a van or does it need to be a tipper?

You can bring waste in any vehicle. Vans, pickups, trailers, and tipper trucks are all fine. If you're unloading by hand from a van, that's no problem. Our yard has the space for you to work at your own pace.

Why does plasterboard need to be disposed of separately?

Plasterboard contains gypsum, which produces harmful hydrogen sulphide gas when mixed with biodegradable waste in landfill. UK regulations require plasterboard to be kept separate from general waste and sent to specialist recycling facilities. Tipping it at our yard ensures it's handled in line with these requirements.
